Lauren Shultz scored all six of her team's goals Sunday against the Pierre Capitals to lead the Rushmore Thunder girls' U-19 hockey team to a 6-5 victory at the Oahe Ice Arena.

Shultz scored two goals in the first period, one in the second period and three more in the third just a day after registering a hat trick in a 5-3 win over the same Pierre team.

Pierre led 5-3 Sunday after a Miranda Bren score, but Shultz reeled off three unanswered goals over a 5-minute stretch to give her team the lead and the win.

The Thunder improved to 6-3-0 with the win while Pierre dropped to 1-11-1.

Hannah Booth and Katrina Wolfe each had two assists for the Thunder and Shelby Edwards added another.

The Thunder will be off until Jan. 23 when it plays Sioux Falls at the Bergman Ice Arena in Huron. Pierre is off until Feb. 1 when it will play Sioux Falls at home.
