Fall practices for Rapid City Central High School will begin in August. All students in grades |

9-12 who plan on participating in any SDHSAA sponsored or club sponsored activities during the 2009-2010 school year must have a current physical on file in the activities office prior to participating in the first practice.

The Cobbler Kick-Off Parent Meeting will be Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. at Naasz Gymnasium. General activity rules and regulations will be discussed, followed by fall sports meetings with participants, parents and the specific fall sport coaches.

Boys golf and girls tennis will both begin practices on Aug. 10 for students in grades 7-12.

There will be a meeting for all boys interested in playing golf on Aug. 9 at 4 p.m. in the Central High School Commons. Tee times begin at 2:30 p.m. at Meadowbrook Golf Course on Aug. 10.

Girls tennis practice will be from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. on Aug. 10 at Memorial Park tennis courts.

Football, volleyball and cross country practices for students in grades 9-12 will begin on Aug. 17.

Football equipment will be issued on Aug. 13 beginning with seniors and juniors at 6:30 p.m. and sophomores and freshman at 7:15 p.m.

Marching band and flag corps practice will begin on Aug. 24.

Club girls softball practice and tryouts will take place on August 17-19 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Parkview Complex.

Club boys soccer tryouts will begin on Aug. 10 at 5:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Minnesota Fields.

Club girls soccer tryouts will begin Aug. 10 at 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Valley Star of the West Fields.
