PIERRE - Jo Auch has been selected to fill the assistant executive director position of the South Dakota High School Activities Association effective July 1.
Her selection is pending official action by the Board of Directors at their April 15-16, meeting to be held in Pierre.
Auch will replace retiring assistant executive director Ruth Rehn who will be completing her 34th year in the Association office on June 30.
A graduate of the University of South Dakota, Auch has served as an educator at Menno High School for the past 25 years.
Along with her teaching duties, Jo also serves as the activities director for the Menno School District and has served as an official in volleyball and basketball since 1999. Her coaching experience includes varsity girls basketball from 1982-99, varsity volleyball coach form 1990-99, varsity girls track coach from 1982-94, and softball coach from 2000-06.
