BISMARCK, N.D. - Eamin Entwisle, a distance runner from Hot Springs, is one of 29 student-athletes who will pursue their college education at the University of Mary and compete for the Marauders.
Entwisle was the South Dakota cross country individual champion in 2007, the year he also won the state title in the 3,200-meter run. Entwisle helped lead Hot Springs High School to a cross country state championship in 2005 after a runner-up finish in 2004.
An all-state soccer player in 2006, he also earned all-conference honors in basketball in 2008. Entwisle earned all-academic cross country honors in 2007 and will pursue a degree in secondary teacher education.
"We are pleased with this year's recruiting class," University of Mary men's and women's track and field and cross country head coach Mike Thorson said. "We didn't get the quantity that gives us the depth we need to compete in the Northern Sun, but we did get exceptional quality. Our incoming class has great credentials and I believe this is a great NCAA recruiting class."
