MOSCOW, Idaho - South Dakota State senior Ben Beran needed 13 points to become the 38th member of the SDSU 1,000 Point Club, and he got 15 as the Jackrabbits downed Idaho on Wednesday night at Memorial Gym in Moscow, Idaho, by the score of 76-58.

The Jacks' second-straight win boosts their record to 3-2 heading into Saturday's home contest with Wisconsin-Green Bay, while the Vandals fall to 1-4 with the loss.

Sophomore Kai Williams tied a career-high with 24 points in the win, and added a team-high six rebounds.

Sophomore Garrett Callahan added 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor, including a 3-for-5 effort from beyond the arc.

True freshman Clint Sargent pitched in with ten points, which tied a career-high.

The Jacks opened the game on a 12-3 run, but watched their lead vanish in a 9-0 Vandal run that resulted in a 13-12 Idaho lead.

Callahan ended the run with his second three-pointer of the night, but Idaho would come back to take a short-lived lead again with just under seven minutes left in the first half.

Beran nailed a three on the next trip down the court and even though Idaho would come back to tie the game late in the half, a Beran free-throw with five seconds left gave the Jacks a 34-33 lead at the break.

The second half started with three ties and six lead changes before the Jacks put the game away for good on a pair of Williams free-throws with 13:02 left in the game to give SDSU a 48-47 lead.

The Jacks continued to build the lead from there and then ended the game on a 14-1 run over the last 5:37 to secure the 18-point win.

Jordan Brooks led Idaho with 24 points, 15 of which came in the first half and Clyde Johnson pitched in with 12.
