Collin Bowman was the hero for the Colorado Eagles, as his overtime winner helped the Eagles top the Rapid City Rush 3-2 in the first of two preseason meetings between the clubs.

Colorado struck first with a power play goal from Jake Marchment to make it 1-0. Evan Janssen cleaned up a rebound about 10 minutes later and scored the first Rush goal.

Just over two and a half minutes later, Kenton Miller won an offensive zone draw back to the blue-line, and defenseman John Rey fired the puck towards Hafner’s net. The puck banked off the post and in, giving the Rush a 2-1 lead heading into the intermission (Kenton Miller earned the lone helper).

The Eagles scored the only goal of the second or third period when Matt Grabowsky scored with just over seven minutes left to tie the game, setting up Bowman to score 1:11 into the overtime period.
