Anthony Collins pulled off a ridiculous snipe with 11:34 left in the game to eventually force overtime, but Bryan Moore finished a two-on-one break in overtime to give the Allen Americans the 3-2 win over the Rapid City Rush Saturday in Allen.

Both teams skated to a scoreless draw after 20 minutes of play, but Allen drew first blood just 1:24 into the second. Eric Roy scored on Rush net-minder, Christian Frey, with assists from Spencer Asuchak and Zach Pochiro.

Just over two minutes later, the Rush countered to tie the game. Kenton Miller scored on a rebound after a initial shot from Peter Sivak was stopped. Sivak and Pavel Jenys were credited with the assists.

Alex Guptill struck against his former team for a second night in a row to put the Americans back on top heading into the final period. With 12:01 remaining in the second, Guptill deflected a loose puck that found its way over Frey’s shoulder. Dave Makowski and Joel Chouinard assisted.

Collins tied the game back up and forced overtime an overtime session with his third goal of the season, coming with 11:34 remaining in regulation. The goal was unassisted.

Both teams had scoring opportunities during the remainder of regulation but no one could find the back of the net, so the game went to overtime.

The action stayed in Rapid City's zone for most of the period, and with 25.8 seconds left Moore fired a shot after a pass from Makowski to give Allen the win.

The Rush fall to 20-33-3-1 but pick up a point to put them at 44. Allen is 27-24-4-2 with 60 points. The Rush host the Tulsa Oilers Wednesday at 7 p.m.
