PIERRE -- A Pierre man out on bond on child sex crime charges is back in jail after authorities say he took an unauthorized trip to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Forty-four-year-old Dwight Stulken told the judge he didn't know he couldn't travel to the western part of the state under the conditions of his $50,000 cash bond. He said he had been to a doctor's appointment in Rapid City and was at the rally for only a couple of hours.

Hughes County Deputy State's Attorney Wendy Kloeppner argued that Stulken should be held without bond because he had "thumbed his nose at the courts."

Judge John Brown ordered Stulken held without bond. Stulken isn't due back in court until Oct. 7.
