The Salvation Army Kettle Campaign will begin the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 25. Citizens who have participated in recent bell-ringing campaigns have already begun calling the Northwest Community Action Partnership office at 432-4200 to volunteer, but more are needed.
The captains for this year’s campaign are Dean Carpenter, Bill Cebula, Ted Kienitz, Jerry Johnson, Roger Suhr and Ron Wineteer, said Wayne Anderson, RSVP director and organizer of the local campaign.
Approximately 90% of donations are disbursed in the local community, meeting needs at Christmas and throughout the year.
Campaign progress is registered on the “Tree of Lights” at the NCAP headquarters, corner of Hwy 20 and Pine Street in Chadron.
