RAPID CITY - The ClayBreakers League for September/October 2008. The 500-clay, five-week shoot will be at the sporting clay range at the complex each Wednesday evening, starting Sept. 10. The league's trophy night will be Oct. 15.
The league offers a fun way to take advantage of the history and heritage of sport shooting in South Dakota.
The top eight shooters at the end of the league will receive cash prizes. The league registration deadline is Sept. 8. League rules and fees can be found at www.SturgisHuntClub.com.
The events will be at the Shooting Complex at the Buffalo Chip Campground, which offers seven ranges capable of hosting archery, rifle and shotgun enthusiasts all at the same time. Approximately 250 acres allows a safe shooting experience on each range for each visit.

Black Hills Skate Comp set for final day
RAPID CITY - The second annual Black Hills Skate Comp Series concludes Sept. 13 in Rapid City.
Competitors can register for the series at Edge Sports in Rapid City for $15.
The skateboarders will attempt several tricks, including 360-degree flips, big spins, grinds such as front feebles, overcrooks, blindsides and suskis, and grabs such as stalefishes and indies. The four competition groups are 11 and under, 12 to 15, 16 and older and an advanced group which will include skaters of all ages.
The competition will consist of a first round and a finals round for the top competitors.
Mickelson Trail offers last trolley rides
DEADWOOD - On Sept. 9 and Sept. 18, Black Hills visitors with physical limitations have their final chances to view the Mickelson Trail by trolley.
On Sept. 9, the Mickelson Trail staff, the City of Deadwood, the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce, and the Neighborhood Housing Services of the Black Hills are partnering to offer the last trolley ride of the season to individuals with physical limitations. Leaving at 1 p.m., the trolley will head to Rochford on the Mickelson Trail, along the way riders can enjoy the scenery and history that the trail has to offer. Rides are approximately two to three hours long.
Reservations are required. The trolley has space available for up to two people who use wheelchairs. Each person reserving a space on the trolley will be required to have a handicapped parking permit. One assistant is allowed to accompany this person, if needed.
