Program Advisor/Instructor – Part-time
Rapid City, South Dakota Site
Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, NE is currently accepting applications for the part-time position of Program Advisor/Instructor for the Veterans Upward Bound Program at the Rapid City, SD site. This position will work up to 28 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Work with Program Assistant in the continued development and implementation of the Veterans Upward Bound Program (college preparatory program); assist in the recruitment of eligible U.S. veterans; shared responsibility in promoting the program and events in western South Dakota (travel required); provide academic, career assessments, and instruction to prepare students to enter into postsecondary educational programs; assist with financial aid and scholarship application process; document program activities and assist with annual performance reporting; assist with the planning and execution of educational and cultural activities. Position located in Rapid City, SD.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education required. Master’s degree and coursework or experience in teaching and education or psychology a plus. Additional skills desired are experience in program or events management; ability to work with a diverse population; demonstrated proficiency in navigating various computer applications; or any equivalent combination of education and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the required duties.
Salary: Commensurate.
