Advertisement for Bids
The Solid Waste Agency of Northwest
Nebraska (SWANN) is soliciting bids for a
new solid waste collection truck/compactor/loader complete unit. Detailed specifications (bid packets) are available to
qualified bidders by contacting the main
office with the contact information listed
above. Bidders shall have established prior
experience in the industry. Bid to include
provision for trade-in at discretion of the
purchaser (SWANN).
All bids shall be submitted to main
office in a sealed envelope clearly marked
“TRUCK BID” no later than 1 p.m.
Mountain Time May 29, 2019. Bids will
be opened in public at that time and place.
Faxes will not be accepted.
SWANN reserves the right to reject any
and all bids for any reason.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS/
BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received by the Office
of the City Clerk in City Hall, 234 Main
Street, Chadron, Nebraska, until 2:00 P.M.,
local time, on June 6, 2019, for furnishing
all labor, equipment materials and incidentals necessary to properly reconstruct 12
concrete repair sections at various locations
around the City of Chadron. The project
consists of saw cutting repair sections of
concrete street panels, removing the concrete pavement, base course and sub-grade
for the replacement of six inches of crushed
concrete base course and six inches of concrete pavement structure. The approximate
area of paving shall be 910 square yards.
The project also includes sub-grade preparation prior to constructing the six inches
of base course. The City of Chadron shall
furnish the crushed concrete base course
material. The Contractor shall be responsible for placing and compacting the base
course material. The Contractor shall be
responsible for furnishing and installing
barricades and traffic control. Bids will be
opened at 2:00 P.M. or as soon as possible
thereafter, the bids will be opened in the
presence of all other bidders in attendance.
The work consists of the construction items
listed below and other related preparatory

Specifications for the work can be examined and procured from the office of the
City Clerk, Chadron, Nebraska.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled at 9:00
a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Those wishing
to attend the pre-bid meeting should meet
at the City Hall meeting room at the above
time and place. The construction sites will
be visited with the prospective bidders.
The bids will be submitted on proposal
forms furnished by the owner and shall be
accompanied by bid security in an amount
at least equal to 5% of the total bid.
In the event that contract award is made
and the bidder fails to enter into contract
with the owner within ten (10) days, the
bid security will be forfeited to the City of
Chadron as liquidated damages.
The City reserves the right to waive
any irregularities, reject any or all bids and
accept the bid advantageous to the City.
