In an effort to maintain the quality of its programs, the South Dakota State University College of Nursing is preparing to host an accreditation site visit from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for the baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master’s degree program in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, and post-graduate APRN certificate program. The visit is scheduled for March 29-31, 2021. It will be held virtually. As part of the voluntary, self-regulatory process, CCNE supports and encourages continuing self-assessment by nursing education programs and the continuing growth and improvement of collegiate professional education. As part of this process, written and signed third-party comments are sought from interested individuals (students, alumni, faculty, and practice community) and will be received by CCNE until 21 days before the scheduled evaluation. Written third-party comments must be received by CCNE on or before March 8, 2021. The comments will be shared with the CCNE evaluation team; however, comments will not be shared with South Dakota State University faculty or staff.
