Black Hills State University senior Brody Brisk is getting a little national airtime for his ability to get up in the air, as his dunk against Chadron State College on Saturday not only was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Play of the Week, but was featured on ESPN.
Brisk, a Rapid City Stevens graduate, helped lead the Jackets to a 62-61 come-from-behind win over the Eagles with a base-line, one-handed dunk over a Chadron State player. The Jackets were down by seven at the time. He was fouled and completed the three-point play.
This defender should have just got out of the way because @brodybrisk just posterized him. #SCtop10 http://t.co/9NdCzAVNw6
The dunk was nominated for an ESPN Top 10 play.
On Wednesday, the play was voted by the RMAC as its top men’s basketball play of the week.
Brisk scored 14 points in the win over Chadron State and is averaging 8.0 points a game this season. He has a season-high 17 points against Alaska-Fairbanks and has scored in double figures in six games this season.
Black Hills State continues its road trip as the Yellow Jackets travel to Western New Mexico Friday and New Mexico Highlands Saturday.
