Fran Reisner, an award winning dog author and photographer who left her life in Texas behind to hit the road with her two dogs Jazzy and Sadie, has journeyed to Sturgis this week to find inspiration for her next book -- Harley Dogs.

"I envision this biker with leathers and a teacup Yorkie wearing doggles," she said.

Reisner, with camera in hand, was ready to set out down Sturgis Main Street when I met up with her Saturday morning.

her book, "The Dogs of Central Park."

Reisner stresses that this is just the start of the Harley Dogs project and it would be broader than just "Dogs on Harleys at Sturgis."
