A day in the life
So, what exactly does the average day look like for a behavioral health technician?
Because every individual supported by Black Hills Works has different needs, the job is varied day to day.
Most days begin with helping the people you support start their morning off right — getting up and moving, taking meds and eating breakfast. You will also guide that person in learning new life skills and building healthy personal and professional relationships, all of which will help strengthen their overall independence.
By completing these tasks, behavioral health techs not only make a huge impact on the people they support; they play an integral role in the community by helping adults with disabilities better manage their health needs.
