Buckle up and enjoy the ride! Check out this list of “must see and must do” attractions, as well as accommodations for where to stay throughout the Black Hills for a memorable 82nd Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

History of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is one of the world’s largest and most well-known motorcycle events. The first rally was held on Aug. 14, 1938, with a race consisting of nine participants. Then from 1939 to 1941, the rally did not take place because of gas rationing in support of war efforts, however in 1942 the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally returned for good. Since then, the rally has formed into the great event that it is today.
