Winnebago's David Wingett (21) shoots over Grand Island Central Catholic's Harry Heidelk during a Class C-1 boys state tournament semifinal game at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Friday, March 13, 2015.

Turns out hoops fans will get to see a trio of Nebraska basketball targets this weekend during the boys state basketball tournaments in Lincoln.

Winnebago coach Jeff Berridge said Tim Miles and staff have been hard after the recruitment of high-flying, 6-foot-7 junior David Wingett.

Wingett averages 27.8 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 2.5 blocks per game for undefeated and Class C-2 No. 1 Winnebago (29-0), last year's C-1 state champions.

Berridge said Nebraska staff have been out to watch Wingett multiple times, with director of basketball operations Teddy Owens leading the recruitment.

Wingett also has drawn interest from South Dakota State, Texas Rio Grande Valley and Creighton, Berridge added, but Nebraska appears to be in the early lead. Omaha South junior Aguek Arop, who has made a verbal commitment to Nebraska, and Papillion-La Vista's Ed Chang, who has a scholarship offer from the Huskers, will both lead their teams in the Class A tournament.

And if you want to see Wingett for yourself, you might have to wait in line. The NSAA, due to overcrowding and capacity crowd concerns, moved Winnebago's first-round game against West Holt to Lincoln Southeast High School. All Class A games are at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

The rest of the C-2 first round is at Lincoln Northeast. But if Winnebago wins Thursday, it will play at Devaney on Friday, and with another win, Pinnacle on Saturday for the C-2 title.

Arop has long been all in for the Nebrasketball program, giving a verbal commitment as a sophomore, and Chang, a sophomore, was offered back in January on an unofficial visit during the Huskers home game against Minnesota.

Chang also has an offer from Creighton.
