Music Department Spaghetti Dinner

The Hot Springs High School Music Department hosted a Spaghetti Dinner Saturday, February 24 at the American Legion in Hot Springs.  This was combined with the Fine Arts Night from the previous week which was postponed because of weather.  Mr. James Hayes displayed art work from our high school art students as well for the community to view around the legion.  It was a fundraiser for the high school band and Les Chanteurs to go to Denver May 4-6, 2018 to compete in the Elitch Gardens Band & Choir Days.  The groups will compete for ratings with other groups from around the surrounding states of Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota & possibly more.  During the dinner served from 5p-7p, the high school band & choir students performed their solos & ensembles from the state contest in early February.  There was standing room only in support of our young musicians.  The Les Chanteurs wrapped up the evening with the performance of their show “Broadway Showtunes”.  Thank you to all the students & parents who donated items for the dinner.  From tongs, roasters, crock pots, and food, it was all used and appreciated.  We are lucky to have such a supportive community of our Fine Arts programs.  Thank you to all!
