To the Editor:
As time goes on, and more information on uranium mining is available to the community, the yard signs, banners, bumper stickers and pins proliferate. There is yellow everywhere now, side streets, main streets, up on the hills - Hot Springs clearly does not want to risk its precious water with a foreign company who has NEVER done any kind of mining.
Please continue to let your voices be heard, and most important, come to Rapid City’s Ramkota Hotel on Sept. 23, at 10:00 a.m., for the mining board hearings. ANYONE can give a 5-minute talk on why they do not want mining in their community. It is your community - please come to Rapid and protect it!
If you want a sign, just knock on the door of anyone who has one in their yard and they will see that you get one! Can’t wait to see you all in Rapid City at the Ramkota!
Thanks everyone for your continued interest and support! Don’t forget to give the Governor another call at 605-773-3212.
