The exhibit “Fairie Houses” will open Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Tri-State Museum and Visitor Center in Belle Fourche.
The opening day will feature a casual reception with refreshments.
The hobby of making fairie houses, as well as the cultural history of fairies and the house-making craft, will be respresented by photos, storyboards, a touchscreen quiz, a children’s book and more.
Saturday’s event also will kick off the drawing for a fairy skirt and wings. Entries will be collected from Nov. 10 through Dec. 13, with the winner being announced during the Tri-State Performers Christmas play on Dec. 14. The winner does not need to be present at the play.
The exhibit will run through the end of the year.
The museum is located at 415 Fifth Ave. Call 723-1200 for more information.
