Tri-State Museum and Visitor Center, 415 Fifth Ave., in Belle Fourche, will host its Play off the Page event from 9 a.m. to noon on May 26.
The event will consist of some study of the solar system, followed by rehearsal for a reader’s theater play titled “School’s Way Out,” a comedy about young people from Earth and Jupiter who become exchange students at each other’s schools. The play will be performed for friends and family at noon.
Cost for participation is $2 per student. Pre-registration is mandatory. Registration deadline is May 23. There is no admission charge to see the play at noon. To register a student, call 723-1200.
Plays off the Page are an opportunity for young people to participate in theater without a long time commitment or the need to memorize lines. This is the third Play off the Page done at the Tri-State this season. Its theatre company, the Tri-State Performers, also offers productions at various times in the year.
