PIERRE -- Republican Party officials say a Democratic campaign committee has gone too far in running a TV ad that suggests GOP congressional candidate Kristi Noem's extensive record of traffic violations means she could kill children.
The GOP officials say Democratic Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin should demand that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee stop running the ad.

Noem's driving record became a campaign issue after reports that she got 20 speeding tickets and three tickets for failing to make a proper stop over the past two decades.
The new ad shows young children crossing a road and urges voters to consider that Noem has been ticketed three times for running a stop sign.
