Deadwood History offers Youth Aviation History Workshop

DEADWOOD – Deadwood History, Inc. will host an Aviation History Workshop at the Days of ‘76 Museum on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The workshop is $6 for museum members and $11 for non-members. The workshop is suggested for students in grades K-6. Call Amanda or Tera at 605-578-1657 for reservations or more information. Reservations are required.

Students will take part in an exciting lesson in aviation history and learn about early aircrafts and some of the famous pilots who flew them. Participants will also make a hot air balloon craft, create a helicopter, and participate in a paper airplane competition. Light refreshments will be served.

The workshop is co-sponsored by Deadwood History, Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission, Adams-Mastrovich Family Foundation, Bill Haas, The William Karl and Laura L. Haas Educational Endowment, Spearfish Chamber, Saloon No. 10, and The Walter and Francis Green Trust.
