BELLE FOURCHE – A candlelight vigil will be held Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Belle Fourche for Beverly Ozuna Ulrich.
Ulrich has been missing since Oct. 17, 2003, after she disappeared after last being seen in Belle Fourche and Spearfish. Even after 14 years, her family and friends have never given up hope of finding her and have a Facebook page devoted to her.
The case of the missing woman remains unsolved despite continuing investigations. Searches around Belle Fourche turned up no evidence after her disappearance. In 2008 a tip brought a search on the edge of Belle Fourche with specially trained dogs. Nothing was found on a 20-acre site.
Yearly vigils are held in Belle Fourche by friends and family near the date she was last seen.
Beverly Ann Ozuna Ulrich was 42 when she was last seen in the Belle Fourche and Spearfish area Oct. 17, 2003. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as standing 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 130 pounds and having brown eyes, medium-length black hair, the tattoo “Steven” on her upper arm, and a pierced right eyebrow.
She was the mother of eight children.
Authorities say anyone with information about Ulrich should call the Butte County Sheriff’s Office at 605-892-3324, Belle Fourche Police Department at 605-892-4354 or the state Department of Criminal Investigation at 605-773-3331.
