Think it's too early to be getting your business ready for the holiday season? Think again!
Friday and Saturday November 24 and 25 are set to be a big weekend in Belle Fourche, with Friday looking to be particularly packed!
We're kicking it all off on Friday morning with the Holiday Craft Bazaar & Shop Small Belle Fourche:
This year we are partnering Holiday Craft Bazaar vendors with local retail stores for Small Business Friday & Saturday to bring Belle Fourche a unique and fun holiday shopping experience. Crafters and vendors will be set up in participating shops downtown, all decked out for the Christmas season.
We suggest businesses run specials, as well as perhaps have tastings or warm drinks, snacks, etc. to entice customers and join in the fun spirit of the event.
We'll start the day with the Chamber-sponsored Passport To #ShopSmall Pancake Breakfast Friday, Nov. 24, 8 a.m. at the Butte County Post. People can come have a hearty breakfast of blueberry pancakes for a donation of a can of food to the Compassion Cupboard. At the breakfast they will receive a 'passport' listing shops and vendors participating in The Holiday Craft Bazaar & Shop Small. As they shop they will then get their passports stamped (if your participating business has a rubber stamp - great! If not you can use stickers). Those that complete their passports by visiting all the listed shops and vendors will earn a prize from the Chamber.
Friday night we highly encourage shops and vendors to be open late for the Parade of Lights and Light Up the Night festivities.
Parade of Lights - Light Up the Night
The Chamber is now accepting parade float entries and sponsors for the Parade of Lights Friday, Nov 24, 6 p.m. This year's parade theme is 'Holiday Traditions'. The Black Hills Roundup Ag Committee is sponsoring a first prize of $150 and second prize of $100 for best use of theme and light display.
The parade route will be slightly different this year, due to the construction on 8th Avenue. Float lineup will be on Railroad Street behind Pete's Clothing. From there it will travel east two blocks to turn left onto 7th Ave. and then left again onto State Street. The parade will proceed west to 5th Ave./Hwy 85 and turn north, continuing to the Tri-State Museum & Visitor Center parking lot where floats will be left on display for the evening.
Further festivities to follow the parade:
• Lighting of the City Tree on 6th Ave. (behind the old city hall) Sponsored by Revitalize Belle Fourche
• Tri-State Museum & Visitor Center Holiday Open House at 6:30pm
• Light Up the Night Fireworks Display by CoNBA at 7:30 p.m., Tri-State Museum grounds
