The second South Dakota Legislative Crackerbarrel program for Belle Fourche will be at 1 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 7, at the City Hall.
Representatives from both districts that cover Butte County are expected to be on hand for the public to hear their comments and perspectives on this year's South Dakota legislative session at Pierre - and to answer questions.
Expected again for the session are District 28 Reps. Tom Brunner of Nisland, Rep. Dean Wink of Howes and Sen. Gary Cammack of Union Center, and District 28 Sen. Betty Olson of Prairie City and Rep. Sam Marty of Prairie City.
This year's legislative session will be in full swing as legislators return to their home districts to get feedback from voters.
District 28 includes the eastern part of Butte County as well as Meade County. District 28 is western Butte County as well as most of the tiers of counties north of U.S. Highway 212 to the North Dakota state line, and from Wyoming and Montana to the Missouri River.
Statewide needs for road and bridge maintenance, school financing and fuel taxes are among major issues faced by the legislature.
