Private pesticide applicators holding licenses that expire in 2018, as well as anyone seeking first-time private applicator certification, can contact their local Nebraska Extension office for information on pesticide safety education training sessions.

The sessions are as follows:

1 p.m. on March 7 at the Sioux County Courthouse in Harrison

1 p.m. on March 21 at the Box Butte County Extension office in Alliance

1 p.m. on Feb. 21 at the St. Peter’s Church on HWY 87 in Mirage Flats

Compete the training to become a licensed private pesticide applicators who can buy and use restricted use pesticides (RUPs) in their farming operations.

The training costs $40 per person; NDA licensing is a separate fee.

If you are unable to attend a training session there is a $60 self-study course available in either online or a hard copy manual available at the Extension office.
