A biker who sued a Meade County ranch and its owners for negligence in an alleged 2014 buffalo-mauling incident has reached a settlement with the defendants.

Marisol Heidrich, of Minot, N.D., asked the federal court on Dec. 18 to dismiss her lawsuit against the Mickelson Ranch and its father-and-son owners, Sam and Travis Mickelson. Lawyers for both parties said they couldn't disclose details of the settlement, reached in court Nov. 30, citing a confidential agreement.

Heidrich claimed a buffalo from the ranch attacked her when she drove by the property on her way to the Sturgis motorcycle rally in August 2014. She had asked for more than $75,000 in compensation, including repayment of her medical bills. Heidrich said the attack resulted in fractures around her nose and left eye, facial lacerations and loose teeth.
