A 19-year-old woman accused of being an accomplice in a Rapid City murder last year is going to trial in February.

Cierra Walks is charged in Pennington County with being an accessory to a crime, punishable by up to five years in prison. Authorities say she assisted fellow Rapid City resident Maricelo Garcia, 21, evade authorities after Garcia allegedly shot another man at an East Boulevard North home in October. Walks and Garcia were arrested a couple of days later while they were reportedly hiding on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

Walks has been scheduled for a four-day trial starting Feb. 20, according to court records. Seventh Circuit Judge Robert Gusinsky will be presiding. Garcia is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of Clinton Farlee, 20. No trial date has been set for him.
