An autopsy will be performed today in Sturgis to determine the cause of death of Tony Lara, who was a captain on the Discovery Channel's TV show "Deadliest Catch."
Lara died Saturday in Sturgis in his sleep, Meade County Sheriff Ron Merwin said. Lara was a captain of the Cornelia Marie, a crab fishing boat featured on the popular TV show.Â
Merwin said he didn't know much more about Lara's death and was waiting for the autopsy results to determine the cause.
According to the website examiner.com, Lara was in Sturgis for the motorcycle rally.
