Four people were injured Tuesday night after they were struck by a car while crossing E. North Street at the N. Lacrosse Street intersection.
Two adults and two children were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life threatening, according to a news release from the Rapid City Police Department.
Police responded to the scene at 10:15 p.m. and began closing off the intersection so medical personnel could begin treating the pedestrians.
After speaking with witnesses, police determined the crash occurred when a car traveling southbound on N. Lacrosse Street attempted to turn left on E. North Street and hit the four pedestrians in the crosswalk.
Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. The release said authorities are assessing whether to pursue charges against the driver of the car.
The names of the driver and pedestrians were not released.
