Sioux Falls police look for dog that bit boy

SIOUX FALLS | Police in Sioux Falls are looking for a dog that bit a 12-year-old boy over the weekend.

The Animal Control Division of the Sioux Falls Police Department says the dog's vaccinations need to be verified.

The dog's breed has not been identified. The animal was described as a medium- to large-sized black dog. The canine was wearing a dark colored collar with a pink metal tag.

Police say the boy was bitten Saturday while he was walking on the northeast part of the city.

Police ask that residents with information on the dog contact animal control.
