A threat to the Douglas School System was investigated this morning, according to the Pennington County Sheriff's Office.
The Box Elder Police Department took the initial call before school started. Pennington County school resource officers worked with Box Elder police officers and the Douglas School System. The juvenile who made the threat was identified and interviewed.
The sheriff's office said it has determined there is no ongoing threat.
“We take all school threats seriously,” said Capt. Corey Brubakken in a news release. “We work hard to keep a safe learning environment for students and staff.”
School at Douglas High School continued with normal operations. The sheriff’s office continues to investigate to determine if criminal charges are appropriate.
