Thank you Rapid City Area School Maintenance Department for cutting down the mosquito infested tall grass at North Middle School. I am a neighbor.

The Booth Fish Hatchery grounds in Spearfish are a great place to get some outdoor exercise and fun time in our suddenly very hot real summer weather. The ducks and fish, the ponds and Spearfish Creek, brief chats with other visitors, and the historic and forested landscape take my mind off of the temperature.

Since the school district is feeding the students during the summer at the cafeteria and the food trucks around town, why not have the kids in school year-round. Teachers would be making a yearly salary and the other staff would also be working.

I challenge all Pennington County commissioners to spend July 1 to 5 in Rapid Valley. I am not against fireworks, but shooting them for five days until all hours of the night is unacceptable.
