Traffic on westbound Main Street was squeezed to two lanes adjacent to the post office for most of the day on Monday due to a water main break that required immediate repairs.
City crews closed the left lane where they had cut into the street surface to reach the broken pipe in the morning, and re-opened the lane just after 3 p.m.

The post office was closed for the Presidents' Day holiday. City officials said the water service of one local business, High Maintenance Salon, was affected by the break, but it was restored just after 11 a.m.
The break occurred on a 6-inch cast iron main, and officials say they believe the break was due to freeze-thaw weather conditions.
