Rapid City-based Regional Health has appointed Thomas Worsley as interim president of Regional Health Spearfish Hospital, serving its Spearfish and Belle Fourche market.
Worsley will serve in the interim capacity following after the death of longtime president Larry W. Veitz, who had led Regional Health’s Spearfish and Belle Fourche Market since 2002. Veitz died Nov. 4 in an ATV accident.
“Larry would want the organization to continue the momentum we are generating to reach our vision to be the best health care system in America,” said Brent Phillips, Regional Health President and CEO, in a release.
Worsley has been with Regional Health since 2015. He currently serves as Vice President of the Regional Health Rapid City Market. His responsibilities have included perioperative service areas, anesthesia, the Same Day Surgery Center and the specialty clinics located in Regional Health Medical Clinic on Fifth Street. Before joining Regional Health, Worsley was with the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
“Larry built a great team in the Northern Hills. I’m honored to continue building on the foundation of delivering quality care in Spearfish, Belle Fourche, Buffalo, Newcastle, Wyo., Upton, Wyo. and surrounding areas,” Worsley said in a release.
