Wreaths Across America

The South Dakota Funeral Directors Association will again participate in Wreaths Across America, a national program which pays tribute to fallen veterans of all wars during the Christmas season. A formal wreath presentation will be held at 11 a.m. (CST) on Monday, Dec. 10, at the Flaming Fountain Veterans Memorial at Capitol Lake in Pierre. The Wreaths Across America's mission is to Remember, Honor, and Teach. Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve including their families who sacrifice, and Teach our children the cost of the freedoms we enjoy each day.

On Saturday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m., Wreaths Across America will be at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
