The weekend's ice storm led to numerous slide-offs for road travelers and has also impacted those taking to the air.
Kevin Hittle with the Rapid City Regional Airport said dense fog mixed with the freezing rain has led to low visibility near the airport, cancelling inbound flights last night and leaving the airport at a standstill Sunday morning.
"Our runway surface conditions are fairly good but the fog has been causing problems," Hittle said.
Forecasts call for snow to move into the area, which could help lift the fog and free up air travel in the area.
Travelers are encouraged to check the airport's website or contact their air carrier for specific flight information.
