Just over 300 dogs attended the fundraiser for the Humane Society of the Black Hills with their owners on Monday. On the last day of the pool's season, dogs and their families paid $5 to enjoy the Jimmy Hilton Pool for two hours as part of the Humane Society's largest fundraiser of the summer. Executive Director Jerry Steinley thanked the City of Rapid City for lending the pool as well as Modern Woodman of America for donating a match up to $2500 and Black Hills Energy and Kristin Crosby Photography for helping at the event. "It's a huge fundraiser for us, but we also have a chance to give back to the community, so it's just such a special time," Steinley said.
