The Spearfish Sasquatch rallied for three runs in the bottom of the eighth to secure a 7-5 victory over the Casper Horseheads on Tuesday at Black Hills Energy Stadium in Spearfish.
The Sasquatch (21-26) racked up 11 hits, while the Horseheads (15-30) amassed seven hits, each team committed two errors.
J.D. Kirchner (1-1) earned the win in relief. He pitched 1 2/3 shutout innings and allowed one hit with two walks and one strikeout. Dylan Richey picked up a save as he struck out two, without a walk, and allowed one hit.
Nicky Winterstein led the way at the plate for Spearfish. He finished 3 for 4 at the plate with three runs and two stolen bases.
The Sasquatch return to action against the Horseheads on Wednesday at Black Hills Energy Stadium.
