A small fire is burning in Custer State Park.
Located about 2 miles east of Mount Coolidge, the Switch Back Draw Fire is estimated at about three acres, according to Mike Johnson, with Great Plains Fire Information.
Six engines, a helicopter and a single-engine air tanker are working to fire, he said.
Johnson said state, federal and volunteer firefighters are busy today with the 15 fires that have been reported since midnight. The majority of the fires were caused by lightning, but some of the fire causes are unknown and under investigation, he said.
