DSL Yankees saw its comeback attempt come up short after Asdrubal Alvarez hit an RBI single, driving in Mauro Bonifacio in the ninth inning to cut the DSL Mets1 lead to 5-3.

Cristian Olivero (1-0) got the win with 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief while DSL Yankees starter Deurys Marte (0-1) took the loss in the Dominican Summer League game.
