Regional Health reports that from 7 a.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday, its hospitals handled the following rally-related emergency room visits:

  • Custer Regional Hospital 1
  • Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital 4
  • Rapid City Regional Hospital 11
  • Spearfish Regional Hospital 0
  • Sturgis Regional Hospital 10

As of 7 a.m. Sunday, Regional Health’s hospitals had the following number of rally-related inpatients:

  • Custer Regional Hospital 0
  • Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital 0
  • Rapid City Regional Hospital 38
  • Spearfish Regional Hospital 1
  • Sturgis Regional Hospital 0

The South Dakota Highway Patrol handled the following new injury crashes as of 6 a.m. Sunday:

  • A motorcycle driven by Brett Taggart, 26, Scobey, Mont., was traveling south on Playhouse Road in Custer State Park. He slowed while traveling over a wet bridge and the motorcycle tipped. Taggart and the passenger, Danielle Rockwell, 20, of Scobey, Mont., were not wearing helmets. Rockwell was taken to Custer Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
  • A motorcycle drive by Ryan Paulson, 41, of Armstrong, Iowa, was traveling east on Old Hill City Road when he was unable to slow down in time for a curve and hit the ditch. Paulson and his passenger, Cami Paulson, 39, of Armstrong, Iowa, were thrown from the bike; neither rider was wearing a helmet. They were both taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
