A small rural community north of Fort St. John is celebrating the opening of a brand new school. As Matt Preprost reports, it’s one of two major expansions now complete in northeast B.C.

Morgan Preston, a member of Lake Minatare School’s last graduating class, tells her mother, Katey, she will be in advanced math, her favorite subject, next year. "I'm looking forward to next year, but I am sad about the school closing because there are a lot of great teachers here," Morgan said. Her mother is one of them.
