The Black Hills is getting some love from Samantha Brown, world traveler and Emmy Award-winning television host. The new season of Brown’s series “Places to Love” devotes an episode to must-see destinations in western South Dakota.

Samantha Brown, host of "Places to Love," recalls an especially memorable moment from her visit to the Badlands. She and her crew were preparing to film a segment when she heard a man yelling. He was a tourist from Rome who was so impressed by the Badlands that he began shouting "I can't believe how beautiful this country is" in Italian, Brown said. "It was so touching. He was so overcome by the beauty of it."
