Nebraska baseball coach Will Bolt gets new contract, 30% raise; assistants get extensions

Bolt’s contract will now run through the 2032 season, Assistants Rob Childress, Lance Harvell and Mike Sirianni were all extended through the 2028 season.

According to Bolt's new contract, signed June 22, he got a raise, too. He's to make $650,000 in 2027, $670,000 in 2028, $690,000 in 2029, $710,000 in 2030, $730,000 in 2031 and $750,000 in 2032. He had previously made $500,000, according to his reworked contract in 2024. 

“Will and his staff have done an outstanding job of continuing to elevate the level of success in our baseball program,” Athletic Director Troy Dannen said via statement. “Making three consecutive NCAA appearances and earning the opportunity to host a regional for the first time in almost two decades reflects the culture, development, and leadership of our entire baseball staff."

Childress will make $275,000 under his new contract. Harvell will make $231,789. Sirianni will make $175,000.

Bolt has won 213 games in seven seasons as NU's coach — including a 43-17 record in 2026 — taking the Huskers to four NCAA tournaments. He thanked Dannen and Dennis Leblanc, deputy athletic director and sport supervisor, in a statement.
