SPEARFISH, S.D. — Chadron High grad Dawson Dunbar had a 7-yard touchdown run and finished with 86 yards on 18 carries to help lead South Dakota Mines to a 27-13 win against Black Hills State in the annual Black Hills Brawl on Saturday, Oct. 4.

South Dakota Mines’ Dawson Dunbar (in white) battles for more yards during the Hardrockers’ game at Chadron State College in 2024 when he carried the ball 16 times for 61 yards and scored two touchdowns during the 24-17 victory over the Eagles. Dunbar ran for 1,167 yards and scored 18 touchdowns as a senior at Chadron High School in 2021.
