The season ended for Chadron’s Platte Valley Bank American Legion Post 12 baseball team last Sunday night, July 26, when homestanding Sidney posted a 7-2 victory during the third day of the Class B-7 District Tournament.
Chadron’s Tobin Landen hit a homer against both Alliance and Auburn during the Class B-7 District Tournament in Sidney last weekend. He also singled twice against Alliance and doubled versus Sidney, giving him five hits in nine at bats. In addition, he was the winning pitcher over Alliance.
The Chadron and Sidney American Legion Seniors’ baseball teams split their four games this season, both winning twice on their home fields.
