The Chadron High girls placed third in the team standings at the Western Conference Track and Field Meet for the second year in row last Friday, May 1, scoring 105 points, two more than a year ago. Alliance hosted the meet.
Chadron High sophomore Addisyn Gruver went on a long jumping record-setting spree, last week. She set the school record at the Best of the West Meet on Tuesday, April 28, then Friday, May 1 added 8.5 inches to that record and also set the Western Conference record when she went 18-1.
Because of a leg problem, Gracie Calkins missed the first four Chadron High meets this spring, but has easily won all three of the 3200-meter races since recovering.
